The Warning Sign Game and the related exhibition introduced museum visitors and school children to the history of the warning labels of chemical substances and mixtures as well as to the new international CLP 2015 Regulation labelling and classification system.
The player learned to recognise the new warning symbols and to handle chemicals safely, keeping in mind both personal and environmental safety.
The Warning Sign Game is designed especially for school children visiting the Technology Museum. In the game world, the player finds themselves in an old dilapidated cottage, which they begin to clean and renovate. The game uses various physical household items as controllers, such as a detergent bottle, protective glasses, and gloves. The game recognizes the player's movements and the objects' movements through a Kinect sensor. When the player follows the instructions given by the warning signs, the cottage starts to be restored, the snow melts, and by the end of the game, they are ready to enjoy their summer vacation in a cozy, refurbished cottage.
