Tech Paths is a web-based, exploratory technology learning environment designed for school children. It consists of four paths: Fire Path, Air Path, Water Path, and Earth Path. The pilot project, Water Path, was developed and launched in 2010 in collaboration with comprehensive schools and technology companies in the Helsinki metropolitan area, with funding from the Finnish National Agency for Education.
My roles and responsibilities included concept design, character design, illustrations, web design, graphic design, copywriting, as well as web and print production.
The Water Path pilot project was carried out in collaboration with the City of Espoo's educational department and technology companies in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The project involved several experts in inquiry-based learning and was actively used in teaching primary school students in the metropolitan area.
The Tech Paths learning environment consists of four different parts:
